How the next target is set
Each exercise has a rep range. When your first set reaches the top of it and every other set reaches the bottom, the weight goes up by your progression step and you start again at the bottom. Otherwise you keep the weight and go for more reps.
| Last session | Next session | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 80 kg × 12, 10, 9 | 82.5 kg × 8 | Set 1 reached 12 and the others reached 8. Add 2.5 kg and start again at the bottom of the range. |
| 80 kg × 10, 9, 8 | 80 kg × 10 | Set 1 fell short of 12. Keep the weight and aim to beat 10. |
| 80 kg × 12, 9, 7 | 80 kg × 12 | Set 1 reached 12, but set 3 missed 8. Keep the weight until every set gets there. |
Rest without watching the clock
The rest timer starts the moment you tick off a set, using the rest time you chose for that exercise.
It stays on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where +30s and Skip work without opening the app. When rest runs out you get a notification: “Time for your next set of Bench Press.”
